The thirteenth edition of the Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon is approaching, an event that has become consolidated in the sporting calendar of the island of Lanzarote and which will see the participation of more than 500 triathletes of all nationalities. With an exceptional location, just a few metres from the heart of the event, the Seaside Los Jameos hotel will witness the passage of all the triathletes participating in this triathlon in Lanzarote. 

On 21 October, the tourist resort of Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote, will be the epicentre of world triathlon, with the celebration of the thirteenth edition of the Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon. Participants will enjoy a paradisiacal place to practice triathlon, a unique opportunity to fall in love and be inspired by the environment, without forgetting the goal of reaching the finish line.

Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon is an event for all levels, and the participants have four modalities that adapt to the level of preparation of each one of them. The main event is the "Middle Distance", with a 1.9 kilometre swim, a 90 kilometre bike ride and a 21 kilometre run along the Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen. In addition, this modality is valid for the Canary Islands Middle Distance Championship for Age Groups, with the most outstanding triathletes from the Canary Islands taking part in the start line.

The race has a "Super Sprint" mode, with a 400-metre swim, 11 kilometres of cycling and 2.5 kilometres of running. These distances are recommended for all those athletes who are just starting out in the world of triathlon, and who want to see how their preparation for taking on bigger challenges is going.

And finally, the "Olympic" modality will include a 1,500-metre swim, 40 kilometres of cycling and a 10-kilometre run. A modality that also offers the possibility of relay teams, in which each of the team members will have to complete one of the segments.
